So-called end caps act as motor end caps in which the carbon brush and brush holder are integrated. These components are mainly used in forklift trucks, golf cars and many other electrical vehicles. They are also utilised in moving walkways, conveyor belts and servomotors. These system components were developed to reduce installation and service time during replacement. Whereas the carbon brush, brush holder, insulation and housing with connection cables previously had to be procured and installed individually with an associated complex outlay, end caps as a system component greatly simplify this outlay today.

The standard versions of these system components are manufactured with metal or plastic housings. Electrical current transmission is realised with graphite, metal-graphite or specially-impregnated graphite materials.
