The electrical contacts in electrodeposition are high-power contacts. However, the extremely high requirements put to the material are not only due to the high electric transmission capacity: Since the electrolyte solutions in the electroplating industry are usually strongly acidic or alkaline, the materials also have to have an excellent corrosion resistance.
